First hand knowledge...... I'm building a '32 Victoria using a Downs Mfg. body. Will never buy from them again, they have at the best MARGINAL quality control. The wood structure inside looks like a beaver chewed it out and big gaps at the bottom of the doors. The top of the front door window openings don't fit the lines of the rear quarter windows so I'm doing lots of re-working them to match...customers shouldn't have to do this. When I called Downs about this they said...."well the moulds are getting a little worn out" So needless to say I won't be buying anything from them again.
Now if I was in the market for a '32 3 window I would definitely go with Bear Fiberglass, I have seen their body and it is very nice, no wood and it comes lizard skinned with inside panels. A good dealer is Jim Welch in Prescott Az. ...see www.riterodsaz.com
. Good luck.....Dave
