32 Ford Roadster

Building a 32 Ford Roadster - Kilbourne Body - Looking a possible seats -
Besides buying a blank seat from catalog, can anyone select a car/truck seat that would fit? I would like a bence seat or split bench. Two small buckets would do.

Thanks,
Old Times

For buckets look at Dodge Neon and the like. I have two Neon seats in my 34 and they fit perfectly. For a bench seat I have seen the third seat from a Suburban used.

seats can be modified

Took a seat from an S-10 and recut and welded the frame for a 34 and that worked out..the guy was doing custom seat covers anyway,,

Lots of things that can be done on this..

32 seat

The perfect seat for that roadster, if your looking for a bench, is the center seat from a late 80's to mid 90's Dodge caravan or Plymouth voyager. Its an excellent fit and has built in seat belts. In a bone yard, look at several, as some have a fold down arm rest on both sides [not all have this feature].
I have this seat in my 32 pick-up, and my buddy has it in his roadster. We didn't get ours at the bone yard, though. There is a company not far from where I live that retrofits vans and suv's for handycap use. They take out all the seats and install there own, and/or lifts and such. The seats they remove are brand new and they keep them in a storage area for later sale. The cost for me was $75. But don't discount the bone yards. Those center seats never got much use, and can be in good shape. Hope this helps

32 seat

Thought I would mention Lance Troupe(he just did the Street Rodder tour car), I believe that he makes a seat for the 32, I think he uses wood, but I'm not certain. I'll bet it's reasonably priced. In case you're interested, 602-272-9906 Bill

OldTimer

Found a middle seat from a Ford Astro. I think... Have to work on fab some seat rails but I think it will work.

Thanks again,
