32 three window steel body

It's only worth what you are willing to pay for it! Are you looking at buying it to build a rod or to flip it and hopefully make some money? I believe old cars shouldn't be looked at as investments but as a means of self satisfaction. The feelings you can get in the hunt for that just right body, the fun in the bargining of the price, the tear down, the decision making in what powertrain to use, what style to build, what color to paint it, to chop or not to chop, what to do to the interior, etc - all these things and more are what you will derive pleasure from. As I said it's only worth what you are willing to pay for that.

You mean like this ?? ...

The photos show what mine looked like 1 year ago....as found where it had been since 1968, then off the frame, then the frame redone and upgraded and now the body back on.....

As for the value.......like has been said.....only what you will pay.... But the next guy may pay more......a LOT more...

I saw one change hands about 6 months ago for 47 grand........just a complete old " barn find " .with a 49 Mercury engine, a 39 transmission and hydraulic brakes. Parked since the mid 50's. He has since turned down a profit....

To get this back on your topic.......

Brookville is making a new steel repro 32 3W body. Not in production yet but taking deposits. They have over 100 deposits at 5 grand each and the price of the 3W body........no frame, no fenders or stuff....just the body is $25,000 ( 25 thousand )

Brookville Roadster has one he11 of an operation. Used to live about 20 minutes from them and took a very long tour one day. However, before I spend 25 grand on an all steel repro body I'd rather spend 5 grand on a glass body and have 20 grand left over for parts. The only people who would spend that kind of money for a steel repo body are the ones who feel that unless it's steel it just isn't real. But I've got news for them.... a repo is a repo whether its glass or steel.

I do agree with you on this one, i'm going to go glass with mine, when i do it... but there's just something about steel that has attraction, if I had unlimited money and wanted to build something from scratch, i'd go steel just because I could.. thats all.. but i'll never be that rich.. lol..

I had considered a Brookville .....before I finally got my original one. I was also thinking Wescott. Those were the only two candidates for me....other than Henry Ford.

I believe that some of the folks who are paying 25 grand for the Brookville will be swearing theirs is a real Henry steel car...in a few years. This is already happening with the 32 Roadsters that Brookville has made.... trying to pass a repro off as a original.....

The great thing about the Old car deal is, at least to me, it does not matter who made the body...if you are happy with it. If the car is safe.........go for it.

So many folks get all hung up trying to put things in a little ' Pigeon Hole '. Repros steel cars in 1 hole, original cars in another, Wecotts in a separate hole, Gibbons and Outlaws in two different holes....

TO ME........that's WHY they made a lot of different flavors of ice cream.....just cause I like Strawberry .....doe not mean someone else cannot like Vanilla. Or in another comparsion.........just because that can drink Crown Royal.....does not mean my Jack Daniels is a low class high !!

32 ford 3w

Hello
I have a 32 Ford 3 window that has been chopped. I am looking for some pieces to raise the top up. Do you know where I might find these pieces? Hope you didn't chop your car. It sure looks good. I would like to find a nice
original to restore.
Thanks and good luck with the car
Terry
