327 horse power/

hi i have a 657 block 1967 327 and was wondering wot horse power this engine produced from stock ...it states 210 - 350 though this seems vauge ,,any ideas..

look on the front passengers side of the block on the block deck pad. There should be a series of numbers and letters there, this is where you will find the suffix code, We can look up the code and it tells you the power rating and what vehicle it came in.

That age of a motor should be 2 letter prefix, 2 letter suffix and numbers in between. as far as I can recall

Per Mortec.com ...heads are '60-'67 283/327 75 cc chambers, block is '67 only, used in 302 Z-28, 327, 350 2 bolt...no hp numbers given.

250hp for a stock regular performance 327 sounds about right. However, a cam change, headers, intake manifold, and head swap can easily add another 25 to 200 hp (depending on what parts listed above you choose).

And as you know, the higher the hp the more gear, stall, and compression ratio it will need.

hey thx people that sounds good ,i also have a 3970014 sbc motor and on the rear passenger side of the block there is a stamp conv2 or something ,its hard to tell wot it says wot does this mean..and one more as u lot are clued up .my 327 behind fly wheel there a stamp C H17 WOTS THE H17 MEAN ..THK U ALL
