327 ignition problems
i have 327 vette engine in a classic. a few weeks back i had a complete melt down of the wireharness so i put a new harness on but i wasnt getning any power to the distributor so i hardwired it in it started running fine for a cuple hours then wouldnt start and had a real faintspark i changd the ignition coil rotary button and cap same thing so i took the hole thing out and replaced the hei sencor ran couple a couple dys then started acting up agi and now all i can get out of it is a faint spark if anyone has any ideas on what it could i would relly apreciate it thanks god bless

Make sure you have full battery voltage to the HEI. And the voltage stays at battery voltage while you drive.
You don't want to use the ballast or resistor wire that is used on a point type distributor. Possible bad connection or ignition switch has a poor contact. vicrod |

Also be sure the battery is being charged by the alternator. If the battery voltage drops, the spark will be weak.
