327 oil filter
bought a 327 from a friend and the oil filter plate was missing, there is a kit to change it from oil canister, to oil filter,but it requires the old plate anyone know of a solution. The plate is next to impossible to find

check with jegs. that is where mine came from. i'm just not sure whether i used my old plate or if everything came with it. check at www.chevytalk.com and see if some of those bowties would have one to sell reasonable.

I am pretty sure that Mr Gasket has an adapter kit with all you need. Make sure you loktite the centre thread when you do get one.
Craig Mr Gasket part number 1270 is an adapter but you still need the original bypass valve. go to http://www.mrgasket.com/mrgmain.html and click on the engine components to d/load the PDF file and scroll down to the adapter. Craig Last edited by klassik100; 07-27-2003 at 06:37 AM.
