You're right, these are log exhaust manifolds.

I was having a hard time finding the large bore two barrel intake manifold so I had my tiny two barrel bored out and re-jetted by a local circle track builder. I have the figures written down somewhere. The CFM is nowhere near a four barrel but is an improvement over original. After all the responses I think I'll try and sell the close chamber heads to a 265/283 owner. It's probably better to just prep the original heads to keep everything matching. Ignorance is expensive.

You got that right. I've passed on deals if I couldn't verify the info myself, rather than take someones word on it. There are just too many "magazine experts" repeating the same mis-information. No such thing as too much knowledge.
