327 small block

I just bought a 74 nova with a 327 in it was going to rebuild the stock motor does anyone have any suggestions i have never built a car befor just looking for some advice???

First bit of advice.....a 327 was not put in any Chevy after 1969, so its not the stock engine....better check what you have first

Yep, '74 Nova would have come with inline 6 250, 307v8 or 350 v8 IIRC.

A 327 is fine,,,,,but we were wondering if it really is a 327....Check your numbers and see what you have there.

Look behind the alternator on the passenger side, There is a pad on the block. The last two or three suffix letter should give the information about the year of the engine, CID and where it came from.
