33 Chevy Frame Dimensions

I am looking for frame blueprints for a 33 Chevy 3 window. I can find lots of Ford blueprints but no Chevy. Does anyone know where to get this information?

Welcome to Hotrodders.com

As you stated....lots of Ford frame blueprints. Not so many for the Chevrolet.
I have a copy of the factory Ford frame blueprints for a 32 Ford.....but as I understand it..Chevrolet has two different frames.......for their cars. A standard and a Deluxe.....and that complicates things..Maybe one of our memebers can help.

Deuce...

You are going to need a Body/shop manual. Ebay has them on occasion. I found one for my '39.

Re: 33 Chevy Frame dimensions

Thanks guys. I think there is a CA and a CC frame. One is 110" wb and the other is 107" wb. Beyond this........no luck so far! I'll check out EBay. Who know's, maybe I can get lucky!

33 Chevy Frame Dimensions

I've got a '34 Standard 3-window with a '34 Standard Sedan frame under it. Been on the road since 1984. I've had a '33 Standard 3-window and the frame, at least in the front, is shaped differently than the '34. The frame horns get smaller in front and have more of a downward curve than the '34. '34 and '35 Chevy frames are hard to tell apart. Check out some of those Chevy restoration places and one is bound to have a shop manual reprint for a '33. If you just need basic dimensions, I might be able to provide them off of my '34.

RE: 33 Chevy frame dimensions

I found a guy who says he has a 32-33 frame for sale. Could be those years are the same? Without knowing what I'm looking at, it may or may not even be the correct years! I read that in '33 Chevy did not print a shop manual. In 34 the shop manual said it was for '33 and '34. At least now I know the '33 and '34 frame is different!

Check out vintage chevrolet site. Vccachat, that will take you to the site. They have online manuals there and specific year catagories for your vehicle. Check it out. If you are rodding it and you need to ask a question just don't say your rodding it, they get a little excited on that topic, lol. Good luck.

Re: 33 Chevy Frame Dimensions

I want to thank you guys for the information. I have ordered a couple of items from the internet and will just have to see if the information on the frames is in them.

Re: 33 Chevy Frame Dimensions

Dutchman

www.gearheadcafe.com has a large selection of manuals on CD. I ordered the '30-'34 CD which has the shop manuals, parts manuals and body manuals for those years on a CD.
What ever I do find, I will post. No sense someone else having to dig for the same info!

Thanks
Jim
