330 hp 350 crate motor best mileage rpm on highway??

I tried unsuccessfully today to find a contact in GM to determine the best mpg engine rpm at highway speeds for the 330 hp crate motor. I am at the point of rebuilding a 9 inch rear and I want to get the right ratio for the best mileage. It will run in a 49 Ford F-1 truck (3200#) thru a 700R4 with 29.6 inch tall rear tires.
Online info from GM performance parts is limited to HP and torque vs rpm. Anyone know of test info available (the GM website does NOT help) or contact/phone number inside GM? They certainly do their best to duck any phone calls. First call to a number given to me by my dealer took me to India (I think) with the usual go round/no info-big surprise.

run 3.50 gears with this set up it should move very well in the first 2 gears but will make 65mph @ 2200rpm depending on your tires of course that motor would probably like the 2200-2400 range

With the 700R4 I'm told that 3.73 gears work very well...

I already have 3.70 gears in the 9 inch that I need to rebuild. I agree for power it would be great but I want to try for best economy given my crate motor/trans setup. For example by my math with my current setup I would be turning about 2060 rpm at 70. My question is for fuel economy at 70 is that too high or too low for my crate motor.

Sorry, just my opinion and no offense meant but you're making this way to hard for yourself. The 3:70 gear will work just fine for your setup. Example... 3:25 gears with your set up will yield 1802 rpm, the 3:70 gears will yield as you know 2060 rpm. This is very negligible and I really doubt you'll see much of a change in gas mileage, but a big difference in acceleration. Keep the 3:70's, you'll be glad in the long run....as will your crate engine.
