34 Chevy wood restoration

I'm looking for information about reproducing 34 Chevy Master 2 door wood myself. Is anyone aware of a source for plans/blueprints?

When I have to reproduce the wood frame on early cars I go down to home depot and get a sheet of the thickest foam insulation you can buy. If they do not have a thick enough sheet then I glue two pieces together. Use this to make a pattern. Electric carving knives work well. It you cut to much just glue it back together. I have been doing it for forty years on car that most people haven't even heard about and I have yet to find one that balsa wood and styrofoam couldn't make a pattern for.

That's a great idea. I can use it to replace what is still there. The additional problem is that none of the floor wood still exisists, and I haven't a clue where to start. I don't even know what the dimensions were. Your system would be great if I deside to do a partial "woodie" exterior.

34 Chevy wood restoration

If you are still working on the wood for your car here is a 1934 Fisher body manual. I'm sure it will help you.

As well here a link to the service manual:

This is an excellent site not just for 34 Chevy's but for lots of other manuals and information.

Thanks, Man
I still have the car, but it is way on the back burner. I would still love to find plans for the wood, so I could build my own - no luck on that so far. Most of the original wood is gone, so I have nothing to copy.
