34 ford body mounting

anyone know the measurments for locating a coupe body on a repo frame

Usually the shape of the floor will locate the body on the frame, the kickup over the rear axle is a natural alignment feature. I usually pull them back up the "ramp" created by the frame kickup, then let the body settle down .

Does your body have a floor in it?

Another locating feature is the crowsfoot shape in the rear wheelwell. The vertical line in that detail will point at the axle centerline.

There is a hole in the side of the frame just behind the leading edge of the wheel opening where the rear fender bolts into it. If you have a fender, you will see where it goes.

You can also use the splash pans to locate the body at the front if they are the steel ones.
