I have a 1934 Ford chassis (American stamping rails) w/MII clone front suspension. I am putting this under a full fender 34 Ford 2 dr sedan. The chassis came with P185 70R14 front tires mounted on 14X6 Rims. The tires spec at 6” tread – 7.5” section – 5” section height – 24.25 diameter. The rims have 0 offset and the tires rub the fenders. Using a home built gauge that I found on this board I measure that 1 1/2" to 2" positive offset is needed. Curious what offset anyone with similiar setups is using before I order new rims?
I think the problem is your rims. The rims on my 34 have 4.25" offset. I have a Heidts Mustang II front end also with full fenders. My rims are 14 X 7.

Thank You. According to my measurements with my gauge I need at least 4.50". Will have to investigate if a 7" rim will effect the tread width, etc.
What size tires are you running? That may have an effect also
I know it is a different frame 35-40 but I did a heidts in a 40 and they offered a 1" narrower control arm that kept the tires from rubbing.
