'34 ford - Fastening the hood side panels at the bottom

Getting ramped up for a new Outlaw 34 Ford coupe build. I've got the hood (smooth sides, no handles) from Rootlieb already.... It occurred to me... I haven't got the slightest idea of how I'm going to fasten the lower edge of the hood to the car.

It's a 3 piece hood and the top will hang on Hagan hinge rails. The bottom of the side panels.....?????? I've never looked that closely at other's cars.

How did you do it?

Hood sides

I put a piece of metal on the inside of the panel that slips over the lip that comes up from the fender, it works very well.

Mine has pins on the hood side that fit into a bracket attached to the apron. A small tab that hooks over the apron would work - you'd probably want to add a something to cushion so the side doesn't rub the apron and the clip doesn't rub the inside.

That's the ticket, and I think I know where to get stainless pins and sockets. Thanks.
