34 Ford Front Fender Center Clip Help...

So I am in the process of installing some new steel re-pop fenders on a 34 sedan. everything matches up pretty nice except the very front stainless clip below the center of the radiator shell. Im not sure what it is even supposed to fit like? Are the fenders a tight fit all the way under the shell or do they fall away from the fender at the bottom? I can do what ever it takes. Not sure if the shell needs adjustment, the fenders need massaging, or ? Any help with past experience on this would be a great help and appreciated.

That triangle piece in the picture should fit at the bottom of the fenders. The one in picture doesn't look like mine (to the best of my memory) but then mine is original. I will take some pics of mine when I get home unless someone else chimes in.

It is possible that the grill shell is sitting too far down in the lower part of the fenders. That piece you have looks like the OEM piece.

Anything is possible! LOL I ordered the little filler piece from Bob Drakes so Im sure its close to original. I will have to play around I guess and figure out what works best. I cut the flanges off the inside of the fenders, they were way too close to each other and didnt allow the center piece enough gap to slip in between then?
