This next shot is of some Peel & Seal that I purchased from our local Lowes home improvement store. Turns out the Peal & Seal is a higher quality product that what I had been using. It sticks far better than what I had. The only problem is that it only comes in 6"x25' rolls. Not really a problem though as it makes installation a bit easier. I have been using some aluminized A/C tape on the joints.
This is what it looks like out of the package. The price is $13.95 per roll. Vince Last edited by 302/Z28; 12-18-2006 at 08:04 PM. |

Electrical work
Just thought I would let ya'll see the mess that electrical work is. The relays are for headlamps, suicide door locks, choke, horn, a/c power, and a/c blower. It looks intimidating, but if you tackle one system at at time you will eventually get it done.....at least that is what I keep telling myself.

It's just like connecting the dots
I usually go through 3 or 4 times as many wire ties as will end up on the harness when I'm done. I start in the center, like you are doing, then pick my routes and then add wires as the systems get added. Keeping them bundled with wire ties is easy, just cut off the previous ones when you add new ones to the bigger bundle. I usually add a wire or 2 to the bundle that goes to each end of the car that is unconnected at each end, just in case I want to add something later. Try to not use those stick on plastic pads to secure the wire bundles to fiberglass. They will inevitably fall off unless you glue them with some epoxy. Tea's makes a nice seat, don't you think? Later, mikey

What if you use liquid nails to secure the plastic to the glass? Regards, Steve |
