35 Ford Tudr Sedan Seats

I picked up a set of stock seats (fronts & rear) for my '35.

We are considering anchoring the driver side and using an Explorer seat track on the passenger side. This will allow the seat to be locked down, but still allow the seat to flip forward.

Any other suggestions? I don't need to be stock or electronic.

For the back seat, I do not have the hardware to allow it to hinge forward and lock in the back. I checked various Ford uppliers (Mac's C&G) but they don't seem to have the parts.

So, what options do I have?

I appreciate your time and suggestions.

seats

i used 87 escort buckets on a custom base in my 36 sedan and the stock rear seat. i was using the stock front bucket seats but the fact that they were all wood construction kind of made me go to the escort seats.(plus the fact that my grandma wrecked her 7000 mile escort and i took the seats).my kids really dont like the stock rear seat because it is too springy, they bounce up and down and their seat belts get loose and tight . my buddy has a 36 sedan also and used the rear seat from an 90s chrysler mini van, i tell you what, it fits perfect. i think i would look at some different seats unless you are restoring it and dont intend to drive it much. just my 2 cents. mike

Thanks for the reply.

At this stage in the game, I am looking to stay with the stock seats. The car will not be stock but I am trying to as true to a 50's theme as possible. Also it will keep my budget in line. Later on it will be easy to pull the seats and go "Glide".

I had heard about the mini van fitment. But going that route would require re-upholstery. The seats I have are in very good shape.

I also take a spritiual view towards things. by keeping the seats, the ghosts whose butt prints are in those seats ride with me and connect to the past.
