350/300 Corvette rebuild

Hey buddies,
I'm here today to learn what are the best heads, roller cam/lifters and maybe a new intake (if the stock hood will still fit) for my 1969 Corvette that I've had since 1973. I'm putting a stock nose back on it after having a custom nose since 1974. None of that tri power, solid lifter krap ( ) for me, it's got the base 350, putting out 300 gross with an TH400 and a 3.08 rear. So, it's bottom end grunt is what I'm looking for. I'll be back at 'ya after I get my feet wet reviewing some posts.

Fred

Will do Cole,

First I want to get a general idea of what I think I should get. A hydraulic flat tappet cam would be easy but I want a few more hp that the roller set up should give me plus I won't have to worry about wiped out lobes.

Regards, Fred

Just noted I haven't updated you guys of my progress (or lack of) on my project. I have put my original motor "on the side" and bought the 355 hp (base model) ZZ4 to put in. Since I want to do "some drivin'" when I get it done, I figured this might be the best option. My car has only the 3.08 rear so this engine has good torque, down low, which I need. I'm trying to figure out who/what to do regarding the TH400 rebuild.
