350 to a 383
I have a 350 and i want to build a 383.. Do you have to bore it .030 over to acheive this? Because i bought some keith black 4.000 in bore pistons.. And the label said 383 pistons.. They are on 5.700 in rods and i have a 3.75 in stroke crank... but everywhere else that i have read said that i need my engine bored with bigger pistons

yes a .030 overbore will make 383, however, the .030 overbore isn`t going to make it have anymore power. with a 4 inch bore and 3.750 stroke it`ll make around 377 cubic inches and the power difference will be so little you won`t even notice the difference.
