Just like I thought, a kid. I don`t have to say anything else really, that proves it all. If I`m so much of a idiot why is it I know the difference in injection and carbs?

What Id do is get a good 350 block.Buy a 383 stroker assembly.Get a set of L31 Vortec heads from gm.And a performer rpm intake. From edelbrock. For the cam id go with a 268H XE comp cam.I like the pete jackson gear drives. But a good double roller is fine. For Carbs I got a 600cfm edelbrock 600cfm.electric choke. Its ok.But there a little sloppy compared to a well tuned demon or holley.I like the tremec 5 spd.But they cost about $2000 and its just easier to get a 700r4 with a stall.Probably something similar to a TCI breakaway. And a 3.73 rear gears.
383 stroker kit. 9.5:1 would be good with pump gas.And get o.k mileage/power

This is off the subject, but 86IrocMaro and cool rockin daddy, what cities do you live in? I am going to graduate in May and am going to Kettering to get a masters degree in automotive systems engineering. I dont want to live in Flint, but some of the towns outside of Flint seem ok. I was looking at Fenton or Grand Blanc. Anything good or bad about either of these? Any other towns that are nice?

Thanks
Adam

Settle down and stay in you shoes, IROC. You're giving us Michiganders a bad name! You live in Plymouth-Canton. Booth Arons is the closest builder I have personal experience with that I would recommend. CALL them and tell them what you want to do. They will give you good answers. Either that or get some past issues of Chevy High Performance about 1.5 years back and do their warm-up of a Chevy crate 383. If you don't want to do either, your on your own. Just quit flaming people who are trying to help you!!!!

Adam,

I live in Lake Orion which is only 25 minutes from Flint. Grand Blanc and Fenton both are growing areas with nice, affordable housing close to all the anemities. I would choose Grand Blanc over the two but Fenton is nice also.

Thanks, I was leaning toward Grand Blanc because it is a little closer to Flint.
