basic rebuild= 1000- 1500 bucks (depending on how much machine work is needed)
My rebuild set me back about 2000 but I got my moneys worth so far...and just over 400 horses. It really depends on just how far you want to take this motor. |

My last 350 cost me about $1,600 start to finish. Its modest but should last many many years.
As far as "cheap parts", I'll change that to "buying parts inexpensively". My suggestion: Any internal engine parts, work with your machinist on them. Nothing pisses off a good machinist more than to have someone carry in a bare block and a big box of new parts from eBay. You're machinist needs to make a living too and usually will get your parts for you at a very competitive price. Mark |
