350$$$$

how much money does it caughts to normal build a 350 chevy i would like to know so i can estimate how much money i well need ?

and where can i find cheap parts for it?
and is there some that i can buy far as cheap horsepower?

basic rebuild= 1000- 1500 bucks (depending on how much machine work is needed)

My rebuild set me back about 2000 but I got my moneys worth so far...and just over 400 horses.

It really depends on just how far you want to take this motor.

My last 350 cost me about $1,600 start to finish. Its modest but should last many many years.

As far as "cheap parts", I'll change that to "buying parts inexpensively". My suggestion: Any internal engine parts, work with your machinist on them. Nothing pisses off a good machinist more than to have someone carry in a bare block and a big box of new parts from eBay. You're machinist needs to make a living too and usually will get your parts for you at a very competitive price.

depends what your building for......

i'm not done with mine, but by the time i'm done it'll hit the $5500 mark {give or take a few dollars}
