New engines tend to run hotter than normal, but i'd say that 280 is way too high. If its outside, try running some water into the radiator coils as its running to keep it cooled down. It may get better with time, may not.
Ok thanks may be a good thing will be to put the hose in the rad then let it run whitout termostat..
Then motor look to run good but everyting is new... Less than 10miles and around 1/2 hours to 1 hour s break in at around 2500
