350 Build Cast #3970010

Block is ready except for decking and I just received my Promaxx Freedom Series Aluminum heads 64cc from summit along with my 0.030 pistons. Still trying to find out exactly which Howard Roller Cam kit to buy for this block. Looking to get 350-400 HP on a budget. Filled out the Cam form on the sight but haven't heard back from the Howard Cam expert. Any suggestions while I wait? I still have lots more parts to buy for this budget build.

Think we did this already?
You did order the heads with an upgraded valve spring for a roller cam correct?

do you know your static compression ratio yet?I think 400 hp is where you will end up if you take care with assemble and have the bolt on parts to match.
I would like you to have about 9.5:1 for a street engine.
did the heads come with springs, hope not,,,just valves and use springs from cam manufacturer

Got the heads but still need the double springs, I filled the form out on the Howards site to try and find the correct cam. But looks like you found it: the retrofit hydrolic roller cam thank you.

I agree with dave about performer RPM and 750 carb
do you have decent headers? I think you are well on your way to a great and powerful street engine.
whats the home of the engine? do you have pictures of the car/truck

Don't know my static compression yet. Should I contact Howards cams for the correct double spring?

Love 70ish Nova's.....and the flat grey and ralley wheels just screams street bruiser....
3000 stall, 373's, sticky 275 drag radial and the motor as planned should make for a really fun mid to high 12 sec street car.
Wanna trade for a pretty third Gen Trans am lol....
