I just bought a chevy 350. The castig number is 3870010. I can't find the casting number in any of the web sites. Can anyone help me make sure it is a chevy 350?

The only why to i.d your motor with out tearing it down, is with the stamped (Suffix ) Code on the right front (Passenger side) Of the block.Just below the head. The 3970010 casting numbers were used for 302/327/ and 350 blocks. With out looking up the suffix code your just guessing at it.Of course you could pull it down and have it mic`d.
Look up the number again at moretec or nastyz28 site and check it out. Please let us all know what you find. Feel free to e-mail me and i will help if i can.
