4 degrees sounds pretty low. Try bumping it up to about 12-14*

Yeah..a 350 likes to be in the 10 to 14 degree timing range..I'd reset it and check for detonation.. AND just about any dead cold engine with some miles on it, will spit back under load until warm..my vettes do it all the time..I like to give it a 3 to 5 minute warm up before putting them to work.. Doc
