#350 Chevy Starter

Hi
I'm changing the starter on my Chevy small block 5.7 engine.

My question is should i get the mini or stock.

It depends on if you're having clearance issues between the starter and your headers or exhaust pipe. Some cars with tight engine bays and headers don't leave much room for a full size starter. The other problem that some people have is heat soak from the starter being too close to the headers or exhaust. Other than that if a standard size starter is getting the job done then going to a mini starter isn't a necessity.

Starter

Thanks for the info.....I am having a clearance problem because i believe the starter i have on now is heat soaked. The engine only has 7000 miles and starter should be good.
