350 dipstick on other side?
Ok so I have a 1983 monte carlo with a 305 the dipstick is on the passangers side now someone on here before told be to watch out on the 350 I'm going to buy incase the dipstick was on the drivers side,well the motor I looked@tonite it was on the drivers sode what does that mean what should I do?

It doesn`t make a difference what side it`s on. Just make sure you use the same dipstick that comes in the engine you get.

If you are using headers it is a non-issue. The problem occurs with some stock exhaust manifold types and a pass side dipstick.

Does it indicate what year the engine was produced ? (or at least the oil pan ?)
