350 hp estimate

Im building a 40 over 350 with flat top pistons. The rods are stock with a scat crank. The heads im using are a 305 with 62cc combustion chambers. I had 1.94 and 1.60 valves cut in. I was told it was a performance 350 head till the machine got, and found it had the small valves. Im on a budget so i cant spend alot of money. The cam is a comp hydraulic roller with .533 on the intake and .519 lift on the exhaust. The rpm range is 2500 to 6200 dur @ 50" lift on intake is 243 ehaust is 257. The intake im running is a rpm air gap with a inch spacer, and a 670 holley street avenger. If anyone could give a hp figure i would greatly appreciate ii hopeing to get close to 400 thanks

If the heads are completely full-on ported, you could get your 400 hp. if they aren't, and are just cut for the bigger valves, you are only looking at maybe 350hp.

That cam will want to make power in a range more like 3300 to 6800. It'll sign off at around 6200 because of the heavy lifters. You can make juice rollers rpm more with a rev kit installed in the lifter valley. Actually, it'll never see 6200 either, because the heads will more than likely sign off at around 5000. That's a shame, because with some good heads to support the intake, cam and headers, you could make some decent hp.

i think it will make 370 hp @6500

i dont think your combo will make it past 5500 rpm without issues in the valvetrain.

unless you spent major bucks on exotic titanium parts and beehive springs.

that's alot of cam to keep under control. fast openings and fast closings require alot of work to keep from running wild and sucking power

What more could you want for comments? I think Techinspector made about as good of a comment you are going to find.

By the way, how many different usernames are you going to log on here? By my count you've created at least four over the last few years.
