350 k code engine

hello all, i have maybe a stupid/dumb question not sure , i have a 350 chevy engine 1987-1991 k code,it is a tbi engine can i swap it over to a carb style engine, will it run is it possible,,yes i know a tbi is probably somewhat better, but i picked up a 88 gmc truck that originally came with a v6 in it , this 350 was swapped into it, but the wiring harness has been hacked/modified ,so im just curious if it will work swapping over to a carb style motor,,,,,,i paid almost nothing for it, the rims and tires are worth more then i paid for the truck, any info would be greatful

I done it once .. I put a carb motor in a 87 van.
You need to cut the fuel line and make it hook up to the fuel pump on the block of the carb motor ,,
You can leave the fuel pump in the tank of course but need to remove the fuse that runs the fuel pump .
depending on how far back you go to get the carb motor .. I used a 1970 .
you may need a different power steering pump because of the different belts.
I used a four barrel dome off a 85 chev so i had vacuum ect that would hook up ..
you will need to remove all that fuel injection stuff of course .
I ran a wire from the dist to a fuse that only worked with the key on for power to the dist
I used the van until it was not fit for the road with no issues as far as the motor swap
It can be done for sure ..But I do not think I would do it again .. lot of work ..
And I had a scrap yard to get parts from

Sure, it'll run w/a carb and non feedback HEI distributor.

The intake needs to fit the later SBC intake bolt pattern (details here).

Info on the distributor including how to wire it, is here.
