350 needs more power!

I want to get rid of anything and everything in the engine bay I do not need in there!! what can I ditch? Where i live I drive it everyday and there is emmissions testing but I have already passed Right now im testing the fuel pressure because it just is not responding well to throttle at all, may have to go electronic and regulate. Would love some advice and know-how.

On older cars dont you get to skip the emission? I think you are in Colorado and all you would need is safety right?

I don't know anything about Carters.....if it was a holley I was going to say check your accelerator pump clearances.

What vehicle are you working on? I have an 86 Silverado that I have eliminated all computer and smog related items from. It takes a while, but I'll tell you what the engine compartment is clean and I don't have any sensors that aren't connected to a gauge.
