350 needs more power

i have a 82 el camino with a 350 chevy in it, it has true duals no converters stock manifolds and a trail blazer is faster.....i need help fixing this problem i dont know if i should get an edelbrock intake or switch my rear gearing to 3.73's or headers can someone lead me in the right direction please hahaha

Start with all tune up parts first, check and set timing, replace plugs fuel filter etc etc,
For mods?
Start with the gear and work your way forward. Bang for the buck will be gears tho.

ok thank you i have new plugs and timing is good it sounds really healthy but i was thinking about cruising the junkyards and finding a 750 cfm carb it has an edelbrock 600cfm on it but i will look into the gears i think the motor is a 70s smog motor

A 750 carb won't help.

headers are always the first place to start.Let it breathe,,,,,
get an idea of what you want as an end result?

the bigger carb wont help? and we just set it today and it was something like 8 degrees advanced

well basically what i want it to be is something to piss off all the kids running around in my town haha and right now it cant dish it out really....its slow

THe 750 will help at 5 grand but your motor will run out of breath by then.
600 is just about right.
Bump your timing up to 14-16 and get some headers like Vinnie said.

ok and you think headers will be better to get then rear end gears? the thing doesnt even spin its tires at a dead stop, its hell trying to do a burn out

Headers do not do burn outs,,,lol.
Why not list everything you actually have and we can talk about what costs you might incur

im just saying the thing has no power lol at all but should i get headers or gears if i get headers should i get longtubes or shorty headers

you need to know what parts are in the engine to determine header pipe size,,,

350 cubic inch engines came in many varieties from 160 horse power to 370 horse power,which one do you own?
