350 Olds

I have a olds 350 rocket out of a 1972 delta 88. I found one site
on the net for olds performance Dick miller performance. Alsi read somewhere that BB olds heads can go on a SB olds? I'm kinda confused on that part. Any help on this subject would be greatly
appreciated.

any olds part fits on other olds engines. Headers, heads, cams etc. Everything except the intake I think (and I'm mostly sure about the heads get another opeinion) all that aside, the heads wouldn't work worth a damn on a smallblcok motor anyway. Too much port, too much chamber, too much valve.

Actualy oldsmobile 455 heads will work with a smalblock. You might need a new intake manifold though, (edelbrock performer rpm)

The heads will bolt on but the cumbustion chamber C.C.'s are way too large and will kill compression. The intake port match is not good. Some aluminum manifolds have enough metal to port match. Unless you have a deisel block and doing a a 425+ I wouldn't even consider putting big block heads on a small block. The headers will bolt on but there is a difference. The big block headers will hang about an inch or so lower than the small block headers. So if you put small block headers on a big block they might get into the floor.
All the brackets will work but some of them will need longer belts if you swap a big block in. I've never had problems with the motor mounts when doing a swap. Basically it's the simplest small block to big block swap you'll ever do.

And this is another reason I like the olds

The ability to swap out parts with "almost" no thought about it, or trouble.

Now it I could just find some 2A, or #10 heads for my 403

Oh, just got rid of the whole 403 a couple of months ago. I think I have a set of 403 heads somewhere. I'll check and get back to you sometime this week if I still have them.

olds heads

dont know if you still want to put 455 heads on your small block or not, but i've got a great deal on a set of #5 heads, these are according to Mr.miller himself the best head for your olds, untouched.... and about $1000.00 or so less then a good set of aftermarket heads. intrested leave me a message... Thanks and good luck. johann.......
