350 ramjet runs rough

Looking for some help to figure out what happen to this ramjet just installed a couple hours on engine. Drove about 40 miles then it started missing on accelleration under any kind of load. no codes rechecked timing, plugs, ign coil and fuel pressure all is good. I don't think it is in limp mode because it will rev up and doesn't have any codes in it, temp at 185. Does smell a bit rich.

What is your fuel pressure? These engine require the high rpessure pumps of the 1996+ Vortec trucks.

These Ramjets stock are setup rich in the calibration.

i agree with hogg. check your fuel pressure there is a pressure test port on the pass side fuel rail. you should use 3/8 min fuel line for supply and the return line. without proper pressure it will start and run fine but it won't pull.

i have a 350 ramjet in my truck. i bought a 22 gal aluminum tank with an in tank pump. i put a couple of gal of gas in it to start the motor. 6 mths later when my truck was road worthy, it bucked and missed when i went to drive it. we put a pressure gauge on the fitting and found 15 psi that dropped to zero under WOT. i dropped the tank and pulled the pump to find that the manufacturer had use a hose that was clearly marked ''not for submersion in fuel''. it was shredded.

a yr later with the right hose, the motor started missing again. drop tank, pull pump. found the new hose had split at the fitting.
