I am in the process of building my engine for my NOVA. I started with a 350 four bolt main. It is bore .030 over. I had the crank polished. INstalled stock replacement pistons. I am installing a .244/.244 solid lifter cam. I am putting 327 double hump heads with 1.94 intake valves. I have a 700 cfm edlebrock and a edlebrock torker intake (the original). Also long tube headers. I have a HEI dizzy. I will be putting a 2800 stall converter thru a th350 built for street and strip. Any guess on my hp/tq to the wheels?
This is the cam I am thinking about putting in it. Cam and Lifters, Mechanical Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 282/290, Lift .520/.540, Chevy, Small Block, Kit
That's going to be a high RPM motor, hope you have valve springs and that your pistons keep up with the demand! I'm not 100% sure about your compression but I'll call it 9.5:1. Given that I'd say you'd make 375 horse up front and be putting down 290 or so out back-
Not really sure what you are talking about. Why wouldnt the pistons keep up. If that isnt a good cam choice what would be good for street/strip applications?
