in a stock form yes they are you go changing heads they are not,what about 400 heads on a 350 and 350 heads on a 400?if you are gonns work on it find out what you have so when you to the store it's not a prob,go to mortech and ruun your casting numbers then buy the appropiaite gasket don't just buy a 305 or 400 gasket if you want to work on your motor find out what you are working on first,I know that it's a 305 or 350 but but the numbers tell you never know I bought a 79 monte that was supposed to have a 305 ended up being a 74 400 check your numbers my friend it's easy and free ,mortech
