350 swap onto ECM controlled 86' cutlass
i have a friend with an 86 cutlass, and the stock 307 finally took a dump. he wants to put in a 350 , but were not sure how to get past all the computer controlled stuff. we could reuse the carb so that all hookups ther will work, but what about the manifold? the o2 sensors? i get the feeling the computer will go bonkers with the 350 in there due to the added cam and cubes. can anyone out there help me?

Junk that stuff! all of it! if anything, it will keep the car from passing emissions tests.
After I took the computer junk out of my El Camino and installed a new cat (and gained at least 20 HP) the car ran much better, started easier and passed the emissions test like it was brand new. the EGR didn't even work! Just get a good Holly or Edelbrock carb, and a vacuum advance distributer.
