350 Swap problems

I have a 95 yj that I put a crate 350 in along with a turbo 350. Everything is new. I have tried to seal all leaks but what keeps happening is I'm getting oil deposits on the intake. After sealing with silicone it went away but now has come back. Could I have a faulty intake? It is a summit brand intake. The temp also seems to be running on the high side. It gets to 210 around 2700 rpm and stays there. My radiator is not aluminum and is custom fit for the yj with a 350. I hear aluminum keeps the temp down is there truth to that info? Please advise. remove your intake bolts and put a thread SEALER on them, I'll bet this is where your oil is coming from.

That is a ok temp, I really wouldnt worry about it. Most new cars run about there and I'v seen temp gauges be more than 20* off.

The inner bolts on the intake go through a flange underneath the intake and then into the open valley between the cylinders. As Holder350 said, if you don't use thread sealer, the oil will wick up the threads from the valley area and leak out under the bolt heads on the intake. Its messy when the oil comes up, but doesn't mean the intake is bad.

The four corner bolts don't have the oil problem because the bolts go into blind holes.

If the intake is leaking from the end seals, the installer may have not read the directions for installation. For most manifolds you should discard the end seals that come with the gasket set, and use a bead of RTV sealer instead.

210 is a normal temp for the 350, if you are running a 195 degree thermostat. If it stabilizes at 210, there is nothing to worry about.
