i have a 69 nova with a 350, edelbrock victor intake, holley 750, mallory dual points mechanical advance distributer and a little cam, my timing is at 4 before but i dont think it has all the power it should...what do yall think the timing should be set at? appreciate any help thanks.

I agree with the above as to the 'Total' advance of 36 degrees in at 3000 RPM. Could possibly go up to 38. If you experience any pinging under a load, drop down 2 degrees at a time until the ping goes away. You may actually be higher than 12 degrees at the initial advance since you do not have a vacuum advance on your distributor. The current setting of 4 degrees is much too low for good performance.
