Typical comment from someone that knows nothing about transmissions. As has been posted on this board numerous times. It WILL NOT do any good to change the trans filter on a trans that is not working. The only thing that changing the filter will help, is the financial condition of the business that sells the fluid and filter.

If there is anything in the pan that will plug the filter, the trans is junk. I don't for the life of me, understand where you people think this stuff that "cloggs" the filter comes from. If changing the fluid would make the trans work, it will also cause additional damage to hard parts that are not included in a rebuild kit by allowing you to use it while it is destroying itself..
