350-turbo question

This might be a stupid question, but i am trying to remove the governor out of my 350-turbo transmission. Does it just pull out or is there a trick to it?

It should slide right out, unless the case is scored and its catching on a groove. Try pulling a little harder and rotate it some, the gears are angle cut.

I'm hoping he wants to remove it to clean it, change the springs or weights. Taking it out and leaving it out would stop the shifting completely.

makes sence, I've heard of people removeing one of the springs in the governer for a harder shift, but what i was wondering was, if you removed a governer spring, wouldnt you reduce the lifespan of the transmission? or would it just shift harder than normal
