350 turbo tranny not shifting to 3rd

i have a 350 turbo and its not shifting to 3rd instead it drops back to 1st when its time to shift to 3rd i have tried to shift manually also and it does the same thing is there a common problem what the crap???!!!

Have you checked the vacuum feed line to the modulator on the tranny? Passenger side near the rear of the main tranny case is the modulator. It needs full manifold vacuum feed to operate.
