Unhappy 350 turbo in vette problem

i just swapped out my 400 turbo boat anchor for a fresh 350 turbo with a shift kit.the transmission mount is about 4 inches in front of the mount on the cross member.also the yolk doesnt fit in the hole.the 400 has the bolt holes on the tailpiece, but the 350 has it on the base of the transmission . is it hard to swap tail pieces(i was told yes).can i fabricate a tee shaped extension , or am i better off getting it changed?? sorry for not posting in transmissions, but you guys all seem to hang here. thanks mike

Haven't worked much on vetts, but I can tell you I would have rather had the 400 redone than go threw what your getting ready to do. With out being able to get underneath your car I would think you should be able to relocate your crossmember 4 inches, and as for the yoke It's probably driveshaft shop time anyway cause of the length also.

YOKE <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" />

The 400 has a 32 spline output and the 350 is 27. Can't interchange the yokes. Go to a driveline shop and talk to them
