Yup, thats what I thought. Thanks gearheadslife, its in my '54 3100. Messin around with the Holleys front squiters, was idleing a little high when I went backed out of the garage for test run, stopped to adjust the idle and air-fuel,still about 950 RPM, put it in drive and bang! still had rev. and 1st, limped back home. If its a stock 700r4 then you might just blow it up too...unless you do some extensive upgrades to the 700 there prone to failure anything over 300hp.. so I been told
governor was fine, installed the 700r4, now where to go to shorten the driveshaft, hum, got a Astro out back. Damn, it fits. See Y-all at the Turkey Run in Daytona.
I could get you to rub off a bit of your luck on me.
Glad to hear you got it sorted out.
