Try loosening the rocker nuts all the way so you could remove the push rod but don't actually remove it. Then tighten the rockers nuts back up agian. Do this by tightening it while you spin the push rod and when you start feeling it get a little more difficult to spin, stop. Then tighten it another half turn. This lets the lifters get pumped up with oil but will still alow it to open he valves without any hanging open. Good luck
