350 vortex heads

I was reading old posts about my heads. my heads are at the machine shop getting studded and installing guide plates, on top of that are "Proform" 1.5 roller-tip rockers PN:66906c. harden one piece push rods and my cam is a Crane Energizer Cam PN:100052 with a lift of .454. i am planning on buying either Comp Beehive Valve springs PN:26981-16 or 26918-16. (numbers from Northern auto parts)

Now reading old posts an reading on www.chevyhiperformance.com i need to have my guide machined.

Any one have any pointers.
thanks for your time

Maybe, maybe not.

Check out the info HERE. And you can do a search on Vortec heads here on this forum as well.

There are more ways to get where you want to be than cutting down the guide bosses. But doing so will allow more freedom to use a higher lift cam at a later build, and will allow the use of readily available seals.

Good luck.
