Post 351 heads on a 302 ?

Just wondering if anyone knew what year 351 heads will interchange with what year 302 block

Can i use the 302 intake or do i need the 351 intake and im not sure but i think i can use the 302 push rods correct ??

You can bolt on any 351W head with the approriate head bolts (351W has 1/2" and the 302 has 7/16) with built in washers. There are various length 302 pushrods and it would depend on which year head you used as to what pushrods you'd use. If I'm not mistaken the later 302/351 shared the same head (mid 80's and later). Ford or ARP or other sources have the correct head bolts. You can also modify Cleveland 2 & 4 bbl heads to fit with a corresponding intake ( Use Boss 302 head bolts from the same sources. With the 351W heads you can use a regular 302 intake and headers.

I am using 70 351W heads on my 68 302. You will use the 302 intake. If you are using 69-70 351W heads you will need to use the 351 intake gaskets as they are specific to the intake side of the head. Later, Jay
