Question 351 swap in 83 stang

i have a 83 mustang and my 302 isnt cutting it and i was wondering what would be needed to swap in a 351.

check these guys out, they don't have a good website but are supposedly the most popular suppliers of engine swap kits for mustangs.

You don't need a kit and if you're going carb the swap isn't that bad.

You'll need a different flex plate (or flywheel), oil pan, and 351W/Fox headers. Some have made 5.0 headers work. Harmonic balancer, intake, and distributor are also different.

Hood clearence is another issue as the 351W is much taller than a 5.0.

A local guy runs low 10s with a low buck 351W (Iron World heads, hyper pistons, etc.) Fox with a 150 shot.
