351 Windsor Lifters

Okay, I know that there is a lot of information on this subject but that's the confusion, everyone has a different thought on it. I am getting close to putting my new engine in my car and want to set the valves static before I do but I'm not sure if the ones on my motor are adjustable or not, so I thought I would put some pics of them in my journal for you to look at and let me know what I have . The engine is a 1977 351 Windsor and the heads are E7TE's . Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to set these demons. One more thought, I thought I read somewhere that the pedestals on the E7TE heads might have to be machined down, any thoughts, that may have just been if the ywere used on a 302 but I am not sure anymore ..Thanks

I would check that the valve train geometry and lifter preload looks close as there are about 6 different pushrod lengths for stock 351W, not including the setup you have there with 87 heads on a 77 block.

Okay

I will do that if you can tell me what to look for, I really don't have a lot of experience with this sort of thing and appreciate the guidance. Thanks
