351C Coolant in Oil
I have a recently rebuilt 351C 2V hardly broke in. Maybe 10 miles since initial break in. I noticed a small amount of coolant in my crankcase. I don't think i ran it long enough to create the "chocolate milk" as the dipstick isn't frothy but the oil is definately thinner with a green tint. I do have small drops of water out of my exhaust as well. I initially thought head gasket, but it passes a block test with no hydrocarbons in the radiator. Any ideas or obvious starting points? Before the block test I changed the oil just to be on the safe side and there is now coolant in the oil agaon, however not alot. It'll hold pressure in the radiator for days. I do have the coolant restrictor in place.

did you put enough thread sealant on the cylinder head bolts some times it leaks coolant even if you torque them properly

I'm pretty sure that you are aware of the fact that glycol will kill engine bearings, But I'll mention it anyway.
Good luck. |
