351W pistons?

Hey guys,

I'm looking at dropping a 351W into my 66' Mustang and I'd like to know what's the largest bore I can realistically use on that size block? Also, what manufacturer pistons would you recommend? Thanks

Lot's of them 60 over at 4.060 inches= 362.5 cubes
A few thousandths means little to power. I suggest your staying as small as possible.

I recommend a forged piston, of the new alloys.
Pick a brand you can afford, but I say stick with forged, and the new modern rings.
Try SpeedPro.
Measure your deck height and seek for .040 minimum -.050 maximum, and adjust by getting the proper thickness head gasket unless you are prepared to mill the block deck to zero.

Thanks for the response. I was under the impression that the larger the piston the more HP. Maybe I'm missing something. I've checked out summitracing for the pistons and I agree with using SpeedPro. They seem to be the reasonably priced and they have a good reputation from what I'm hearing. As far as the deck hgt... if i had the deck milled to zero what kind of head gasket would I need? Thanks.
